Senior Account Manager/Account Director Location: Rivonia, JHB Salary: Up to R35k per month About the Role: We are looking for an experienced account manager who is not only passionate about delivering compelling and engaging communication but also understands the importance of client service and the role it plays in growing business. We are an integrated strategic communications agency. Our focus is building and reshaping brands from the inside out by adding our unique blend of creative intelligence (CQ) made possible with an internal culture of sharing, learning, and modifying. We are currently on the hunt for a best-of-breed senior account manager for a portfolio of blue chip clients. Requirements: Minimum four to five years' client service experience A relevant tertiary qualification Experience working with blue-chip clients, preferably in the financial services industry Ability and willingness to strategically manage the account and client Focused on service delivery Good time and project management skills Able to build relationships and to present ideas and strategies Strong communication and people skills at all levels, and able to sell concepts and proposals Strong administrative skills – required to prepare cost estimates and client budgets Ability to think creatively and laterally for the client Ability to multitask, work under extreme pressure, and deliver on time, every time, at the very least meeting, but mostly exceeding client expectations Organised and excellent coordinating skills Excellent writing skills Advantageous: PR agency experience Financial industry experience Duties: The successful applicant will be responsible for managing multiple client accounts which will include: Being responsible for the smooth running of all the accounts daily, ensuring that work is produced to clients’ requirements and is on time and within budget Being able to develop a brief that meets client’s needs and then ensuring that delivery on that brief exceeds client requirements Building strong relationships with clients and members of the agency team Playing a pivotal role in the development of communications solutions for clients Being able to successfully pitch and present work to clients The successful candidate will be expected to meet monthly targets and proactively assist in growing the account. The role will be measured, based on financial growth and profitability of the account, overall client satisfaction and team fit.
