A animal welfare sanctuary based in Bethlehem, Free state is currently looking for an experienced Tourism Marketer with 3-5 years marketing experience to start as soon as possible. Company does not provide accommodation. Company has a Staff Bus that transports employees to and from their place of employment Salary: R12 000 depending on experience The primary goal of the position is to increase the occupation and usage rates of the various Lodge facilities. This will be achieved through the implementation of the Tourism Marketing and Conversion Strategy, with specific goals and targets to be reached within specified timeframes. In line with this, the associated marketing tasks related to marketing materials and communications media, forging supplier and other relationships and ensuring the brand and values of the organisation are within the responsibility of the position. Requirements: Matric 3-5 years Marketing experience Event marketing with focus on Hospitality Marketing Web Marketing experience Photo shop or any similar programs Presentable Driver’s license (PDP Advantage) Diploma/Degree – Advantage Web Design – Advantage Duties include, but are not limited to: Contribute to the development of the Tourism Marketing Strategy for the Lodge Contribute to the development of a conversion strategy for the Lodge Implement the tourism marketing and conversion strategies and be responsible to achieve the agreed goals Work in close collaboration with the FOUR PAWS organization Country Manager and the Head of Communications: ZA to ensure alignment of the Lodge’s strategy and activities to the global and national strategies Contribute to the development and implementation of the Lodge’s marketing budget in alignment with the marketing strategy and annual plan, in collaboration with the Head of Communications: ZA and the line management of the position Build strong relationships with accommodation sales channels (both online and agency based) Develop and “sell” incentive packages for agents that will encourage sales channels to push the Lodge as a destination Establish relationships with travel and tourism associations around the world to develop a profile for the Lodge Develop relationships with travel and tourism media channels Meeting key occupancy and visitor targets as agreed with management Building up brand awareness and image through targeted communication activities Being the contact person in terms of marketing advertising and branding for all the Lodge’s units in cooperation with the Head of Communications Identifying marketing opportunities in terms of positioning the Lodge Being responsible for creation, coordination, production and distribution of Lodge marketing measures (e.g. print productions) in consultation with the Head of Communications Being the interface between the graphic designer, agencies and internal clients Organising and comparing of cost estimates and sending of order confirmation e. g. printing companies Contribute and coordinate the monthly Lodge content for the Lodge newsletter Relaunching the Lodge’s print products and ensuring their quality in collaboration with the Head of Communications and the marketing strategy for the organization Supporting initiatives, image and awareness campaigns of the FOUR PAWS organization in SA as may be pertinent and in collaboration with the Head of Communications Supporting and participating in various internal projects and activities in the capacity of marketing and image awareness Supporting and participating on Hospitality and Animal Welfare events in South Africa (transport, construction, info table, etc.) Please send comprehensive cv, recent photo and certificates/diplomas.
