Job Description

Risk and Compliance Officer: Johannesburg

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Management and Governance:

  1. Assiting in conducting riak and compliance management awareness programme in the organisation on an ongoing basis
  2. Assist in the implementation of business plans
  3. Participate in risk and compliance management forums and committees whenever required
  4. Oversee and assist in conducting research in best practices for risk and compliance management when required

Compliance Management:

  1. Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and procedures 
  2. Assist in conducting compliance training for staff whenever necessary 
  3. Rebder administrative auxiliary service to the department whenever necessary 
  4. Advising on, and assisting departments with the implementation and maintenance of controls and procedures to ensure on going risk and compliance management 
  5. Implement policies and procedures for general operation of the compliance program and its related activities to prevent legal, unethical or improper conduct

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelors Degree in either Law, Auditing or Finance
  • Certificate in compliance Management 
  • 4 years experience in Risk and Compliance Management
  • 2 years experience in a public sector compliance management
