Job Description

BRANCH SALES MANAGER - Salary: R23000 – 25 000 Basic + R8 500, Car Allowance + Cell Phone, Medical Aid (50% company contribution), Retirement Fund

JOB PURPOSE

  • This position requires the incumbent to spend a minimum of 85% of their time infield
  • To guide and control the efforts of the Branch Sales Team in such a way as to ensure the achievement of the Branch Sales Targets

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Tertiary - advantageous i.e. Project Management, Business Management, Sales Management
  • Computer literate – MS Office (Word/Excel and Gmail)
  • Min 5 years work experience in similar role (i.e. Managing teams – of 5 min people)
  • Unendorsed valid driver’s license

SALES TARGETS

  • Prepare individual & group – Sales Targets
  • Regular review meetings, with each consultant re: performance & targets
  • Planning – re: full territory management
  • Induction training programme – for new recruits
  • Establish a programme – for & conduct regular field training
  • Weekly / monthly / quarterly reports – for each Sales Consultant
  • Development & retention of quality Sales Team
  • Coaching skills
  • Identify areas for training & support, through infield assessments
  • Review & implement – appropriate training

SALES MEETINGS

  • Organise & control – Monthly Sales Information / Sales Training Meetings
  • Monthly / Quarterly Regional Sales & Recognition Meetings
  • Conduct Weekly 1:1 meeting with the Sales Consultants
  • Schedule regular weekly training sessions, incl. Product Knowledge & Sales methodology

SALES CONTROL & MEASUREMENTS

  • Individual performance ratios, targets & objectives
  • Management measurement re: key activities i.e. Customer contact, planning, calls, quotes, sales & value
  • Analyse measurements to identify individual performance ratios
  • Monthly meetings – with Regional Sales Manager, to identify & prepare action plans re: under performance in the team
  • Weekly Forecast Meetings – with Regional Sales Manage
  • Drive cross selling / multi-divisional selling
  • Liaise with Branch Managers, draw up budgets for sales expenses
  • Monthly cross divisional meetings – with Regional Sales Manager

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

  • Lists of clients are compiled & tracked – to ensure all clients are visited on portfolio
  • Assist Sales Consultants, with preparation of proposals & presentations at board level
  • Keep Regional Sales Manager fully informed of all competitor activity

GENERAL

  • Effective preparation of Sales Consultants for Annual Sales Performance Assessments
  • Analyse service delivery in constructive communications with Stakeholders
  • Initiate & coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets
  • Ensure that follow up is completed & effective communication with service takes place
  • Motivation of staff & create a “customer service” culture
  • Will report to the Regional Sales Manager
