Pharmacist / Warehouse Manager

Our client based in KZN requires the services of a Responsible Pharmacist / Warehouse Manager

    Ensure that the depot is managed within the legal requirements
    Supervise the pharmacy
    Licensing and legal requirements
    Verifying status of customers  for legal compliance
    Ensure safe and effective storage and keeping of medicine  or scheduled substances
    Take corrective measures regarding deficiencies with regards to inspections
    Implement   Policies and Standards Operational Procedures in collaboration with the National  Pharmacist
    Ensure that access to warehouses are controlled
    Control, Manage and Ensure adequate pest control programmes in place
    Lead external and Regulatory audits
    Open and close high value cage/cold room on a daily basis
    Control & Manage housekeeping standards are met
    Ensure that good housekeeping standards are met
    Maintain quality management system to ensure compliance to all regulatory bodies
    Ensure correct and effective record keeping of all legally required products, purchases, sales, possessions, storage, safekeeping and returns
    Ensure compliance with all legal requirements regarding the issuing of schedule substances
    Ensure that the quality and integrity of products stored, returned and sold are maintained
    Ensure the correct and timeous receipt, picking, packing and dispatch of goods
    Ensure cold chain maintenance
    Ensure continuous temperature monitoring and reporting
    Ensure batch traceability
    Ensure the correct handling of goods near expiry, removal and destruction of expired stock according to legal requirements
    Ensure that all product complaints and customer queries are investigated, followed up, resolved and recorded within specified timelines
    Ensure that medicine withdrawals or recalls are effected timeously, that batches are traceable and invoices reflect batch numbers
    Ensure that goods returned to the wholesale pharmacy from the retailer and goods due to be rejected are handled as per the policies and procedures
    Decide on accepting and rejecting of goods returned
    Ensure accurate and timeous filing of expired stock disposal forms
    Ensure that Warehouse good housekeeping standards are met
    Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations

    B.Pharm degree, registered and in good standing with SAPC
    Atleast 2 years’ experience in Distribution or FMCG Environment
    3-5 years relevant business management experience
    2-5 years relevant warehousing experience is an advantage
    Working knowledge of SAP is an advantage
    Own vehicle with a valid driver’s licence
