Job Description

Company houses its own In-House Underwriting system/infrastructure. The primary role of this position is to maintain the current infrastructure and to consult on and develop the Information Technology Infrastructure for Company.

2. Qualification: Minimum is a nationally approved MSCE Qualification or degree with Computer science as a major.

3. Skill Set Required:

3.1. Numeracy.

3.2. Strong written and verbal communication.

3.3. Computer literacy at intermediate or high level with focus on;

3.3.1. XLS, ability to do complex calculations and functionality.

3.3.2. PowerPoint

3.3.3. Word

3.3.4. Visio

3.3.5. PHP, MS SQL and C# Knowledge

3.3.6. Ability to read and modify existing code

3.3.7. Mobile application development skills (Android and IOS)

3.4. Conflict Management.

4. Experience Required:

4.1. Minimum is 3 years in System Administration.

4.2. Data base experience.

4.3. Interaction with senior management.

4.4. Interaction with system developers.

5.1. Flexibility in working hours due to possible operational requirements.

5.2. Driver’s License.

7. Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Maintenance of the processes systems and controls.

• Ensure compliance.

• Assist with Audits and reports.

• Assist the HOD Operations.

• Development and implementation of Disaster Recovery strategy for Company.

• Responsible for annual testing and documentation of core servers.

• Weekly checks of the Ability Financial system.

• Updating Company’s web page.

• Procurement of IT hardware and software.

• The management of IT supplier relationships and contracts.

• Develop review process with regard to Security Policies.

• Team member with the implementation of special projects.

• Implementation and maintenance of Servers.

• PC support.

• Monitoring of network and implementation of changes to the network.

• PABX support and Telephone monitoring and recording.
