Job Description

To plan, organize and control operations in the company to ensure that the required deliverables are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard. To manage the planning, implementation, and tracking of all operations related projects which has a beginning, an end and specified deliverables. To develop, implement and manage the service level agreements for the operations internal/external customers.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements/Competencies:
Education  A Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – business administration, management, engineering, industrial technology

Experience and knowledge

 5 + years of experience and/or as an Operations Manager/ Service Delivery Manager and a Project Manager  Experience in a telecommunications environment is advantageous  Solid knowledge and experience in production/project management and service delivery processes/techniques  Knowledge of and understanding of Local Authority regulations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Plan, implement and control operations schedules for the jobs. Review and adjust these schedules when required  Determine the human/material resources required and make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement  Compile and implement standard operating procedures for operations and ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to  Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures  Set, implement and monitor quality standards (quality controls, tracking programs, detect/correct problems)  Determine and implement improvements to the operation process  Prepare and maintain operations reports

 Estimate operation costs, set and manage operations budgets  Implement cost control programs

Service Delivery
 Monitors and reports on service delivery metrics and overall performance  Coordinates planned changes with customer service, change management and operations  Maintains relationships with technical teams, business partners and other clients  Communicates on major service outages/escalations  Develops and manages the service level agreements for all customers/suppliers etc  Manages service objectives as per SLA  ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management

Project Management
 Plan all operation projects  Resource all projects  Implement the projects  Control and Monitor as per the plan  Evaluate the projects

 Monitors and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement  Resource utilisation/allocation and staffing  Daily, weekly and monthly reports  Manage costs, materials and delivery (on time, quality and within budget)
