Permanent Business Development Investment

Job Description

  • To provide research and analytical information as well as technical investment support to the Business Development team. This role is expected to assist with reporting working closely with the team and other relevant parties with the opportunity to grow and assume wider responsibilities


Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with conducting research and analysis of retail funds and track trends
  • Respond to departmental queries on the market, funds or portfolio construction
  • Work closely with the team members to develop and build statistical models for analysis
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of a structured process to review asset management competitors (including hedge, multi managed, DFM, single management and factor based investing)
  • Formulate unit trust and/or solution specification and positioning documents for all existing and proposed investment solutions
  • Provide expert advice to business on queries relating to the company’s investments suite and unit trust industry statistics
  • Provide written collateral for inclusion in client, intermediary and staff publications
  • Present on investment solutions during intermediary workshops / meetings
  • Investigate the external asset management landscape, including analysis of broad industry statistics and trends to prepare findings and insights to key business stakeholders
  • Document and deliver report on Company’s Investments and competitor offerings for use in investment solutions related decision making forums and development of distribution team knowledge base
  • Assist the Investment Consultant with third party manager due diligences
  • Participate in discussions with team and internal business departments on investment solution strategies



  • 2 to 3 years’ experience within Unit Trust and/or Individual Retirement & Life investment Products
  • Knowledge of financial markets


  • A graduate qualification in statistics, quantitative methods and/or mathematics
  • Strong analytical qualification will also be considered

Systems knowledge

  • MS Office
