Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To setup, configure, Install, Train, Upgrade, Maintain and Support The Client approved IT Software Systems at Retail and to provide expert guidance on the use of Client Retail Systems to Retailers.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Attend to and resolve all IT calls relating to Hardware and Software

Attend to System Upgrades, rollouts and store openings.

Manage the IT scanning and SIGMA systems conversion projects

Advising Retailers on the effective use of Retail Systems

Provide training to Retailers and Operators at stores

Analysis store operations on systems to ensure stores get optimal results

Implement and monitor systems and control checklist at Retail

Guide, encourage and assist retailers to make use of their IT Systems

Ensure required administrative duties are performed

Manage all IT related Project work at Retail

Troubleshoot and resolve system related problems/issues at store level

Complete system audits and development plans at store level

Implement and maintain existing and new system standards at Retail

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Matric

Project Management / Training Skills Advantageous

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines

Ability to travel long distances and spend time away from home

Willing to work after hours and weekends when needed

Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Good FMCG Retail business knowledge advantageous

Excellent knowledge of Client Retail Systems

At least 2-3 years’ experience as a Retail Systems Administrator or field service supporter

Working knowledge of MS Server/Desktop systems

Hardware and software infrastructure implementation and maintenance skills

Ability able to work unsupervised

Good Analytical & Decision Making Skills

Ability to perform change management

Pastel accounting experience advantageous

Prior experience may compensate for qualifications not met and all appointments are subject to our Affirmative action policy
