Salary: R700k per annum
Purpose of the job:
To implement and maintain an Occupational Hygiene programme in order to ensure compliance of provisions of the Mine Health and Safety Act, Minerals Act and its Regulations.
Manage SHEQ compliance within the Process through effective use of the Toolbox
Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status
Ensure Customer Satisfaction
Identify Health & Hygiene requirements and determine the impact they may have on the site
Monitor behaviour in line with expectations
Develop learning interventions to support implementation of Health & Hygiene Management System requirements and facilitate Health & Hygiene training courses
Conduct internal Health & Hygiene Audits and monitor and report closure on Audit findings
Report on the Performance of Site Health & Hygiene Management Systems and make recommendations on findings
Investigate Health & Hygiene Significant Incidents and participate in actual level 2 and 3 and potential level 4 Significant Incident Investigations
Facilitate the identification and assessment of Health & Hygiene Risks and update the risk register
Report Health & Hygiene statistics and information
Identify Safety requirements and determine the impact they may have on the site

Develop earning interventions to support implementation of Safety Management System requirements and facilitate Safety training courses
Conduct internal Safety Audits and monitor and report closure on Audit findings
Report on the Performance of Site Safety Management Systems and make recommendations on findings
Investigate Safety Significant Incidents and participate in actual level 2 and 3 and potential level 4 Significant Incident Investigations
Facilitate the identification and assessment of Safety Risks and update the risk register

Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities and monitor implementation of CI initiatives
