Responsible for design, development, deployment and maintenance of VMWare virtualization infrastructure to include ESXi hosts and virtual machines across Campus and Cloud networks. Daily system checks, applying Security Template Implementation Guidelines and security updates and hotfixes.
Support and maintain an enterprise level virtualization infrastructure based on VMware product suites. Support system administration of Microsoft Windows Server 2008, and later environment
Support and administer the Infrastructure environment across a variety of datacentres supporting the Disaster recovery implementation, testing and execution within.
Support and maintain all aspects of the System Centre, security, administration and performance management requirements within.
Delivery on key infrastructure aspects as part of Project delivery within and any such tasks as delegated from the Infrastructure Manager
Educational Requirements experience needed:
Grade 12 or Matric Equivalent
VM ware ESXi Administrator
Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
Knowledge and experience in the following:
Broad and deep hands-on knowledge of server virtualisation and technologies, specifically VM ware.
Experience in Server Virtualisation on VMware and Hyper-V - High availability, Clustering, V Motion, Storage Vmotion
In-depth technical knowledge in Windows Server 2008 and newer
Working knowledge of Virtual Networking (Virtual Switches, VM Kernel Ports
