Job Description

Our client is looking for an establish individual that will be responsible for managing and controlling the entire QMS system within the quality department and lead a team that implements quality initiatives

Location: Randburg

Salary: Market Related

Position: 4 Month Contract Period

 

Qualification and Experience:

  • University degree or diploma in quality management.
  • Minimum of 5 – 10years exposure to ISO 9001 system and process knowledge.
  • Experience in the automotive or a production manufacturing company is advantage.
  • Experience in leading a small team.
  • Fully computer literate (Word, excel, outlook etc.)
  • Background in measurement and calibration strongly advantageous.

 

Duties / Responsibilities but not Limited:

  • Drive all systems and process formats that will comply with the Quality Policy and ISO 9001:2000 requirements.
  • To maintain appropriate internal controls in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • To produce quality reports (internal and external).
  • Evaluate & continuously improve current processes to ensure alignment with best practices.
  • Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
  • Conduct weekly training sessions to improve quality awareness with production teams.
  • Ensuring the achievement of objectives in a cost-effective manner.
  • Coordinate regular, structured and constructive management review meetings of the quality system, to ensure feedback to management in meeting quality objectives, etc.
  • Continuous liaison with customers, suppliers and management.
  • Conduct laboratory and on-line testing to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Create and maintain quality management policies, systems, processes, standards as well as all supporting documentation.
  • Make recommendations to management with regards to improving product quality.
  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of quality throughout the organization.
  • Manage and coordinate the internal audit program.
  • Measure customer satisfaction annually.
  • Drive the company’s safety system.
  • Identify areas of risk to product, processes, systems and employees, i.e. health and safety etc.
