Permanent Administration Call Centre Customer Service

Job Description

A position has become available for a Call Centre Agent in Bloemfortein .

General Purpose:
Answer and make customer calls to solicit payments for goods or services, answer customer enquiries and questions, handle customer complaints, troubleshoot problems, provide and collect information or conduct follow-ups on customer accounts. 
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Answer and make a required number of calls and respond to customer emails relating to debt collection
  • Collect outstanding debt as per the debtors book monthly target
  • Handle customer enquiries both telephonically and by email
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints 
  • Provide customers with product and service information
  • Enter new and update existing customer information into systems 
  • Identify and escalate priority issues including routing calls to appropriate resources
  • Follow up on customer calls where necessary 
  • Document all call information according to standard operating procedures
Education and Experience
  • Matric essential 
  • Degree and diploma an advantage 
  • Computer literate 
  • Required language proficiency (English as a standard business language)
  • Knowledge of general debt collection principles and methods
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Knowledge of call centre telephony and technology
  • Reasonable experience in a call centre customer service/debt collection environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of call centre quality standards 
  • Good data entry and typing skills
