My client is a senior attorney specialising in commercial, litigation and franchising law. He is looking for a legal secretary who has experience working on a senior level with more than 10 years’ experience at a reputable law firm. Preferences: The safekeeping, filing and tracking of group company contracts and other legal documentation and correspondence. Some qualities will include: The opening, maintenance and closing of files for litigation and other litigious matters Drafting of notices and other generic legal documents Liaising with clients appointed by the company regarding litigation and other matters Drafting of documentation as required Compilation of briefs to advocates Typing, copying, filing and other general administrative functions Screening of telephone calls Assisting with invoicing payables/due to the department General office administration Arrangement of meetings Arrangement of meetings of subsidiary companies Obtaining documentation required for board packs and the compilation thereof Maintenance of calendar on statutory requirements, e.g. submission of annual returns Liaising with service providers regarding submission of statutory documentation Keeping company statutory documentation up to date Assisting with drafting and execution of company resolutions and maintenance of minute books   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Verbal Dictation Typing (Non-Negotiable) - Formatting Documents - Ability to work independently, accurately and well under pressure - Driver’s License - MS Office suite (Advanced) - Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to ensure effective communication with a wide range of contacts

Senior Estates Administrator – Southern Suburbs, Cape Town Established Law Firm in the Southern Suburbs is looking for a Senior Estates Administrator.   Responsibilities: Ability to handle the full estate administration function independently from the initial consultation to closure of the file, while the preparation and submission of the file is outsourced.
